Marc Thorpe – Guiding service

Muskies are the most mesmerizing species swimming in North American waters today. With intrigue come obsessive compulsive tendencies. The fascination with the targeted angling species lies in both the evolution of this mythical species and in the ability to blend and experience nature in its most solitude state.

Throughout the years I have sought many species, from my early years as a kid, to an every day understanding and following of the most dominant Apex predator’s daily movement and activities. The continuation and sharing of such angling memories is what I strive to offer to my guests in an environment of tranquility in nature.

Over the years many great captures have come from the region, with many of mythical size. Beyond the myth and rumors lies truthfulness that has made dreams into lifetime trips.

My obsessive ness began at a very young age and progressed into the early nineties. During that time I began this venture in pursuing muskies ardently. Since those beginnings many memories have come and gone. The emotional venture that muskie fishing brings to one is of profound experience which will take you from the bitterness of humiliation to the arrogance of “There’s nothing to it”. Embedded within those moments are the experiences of nature’s true beauty and living creatures. The experience of what she offers may or may not take you down the road of disbelief but she will leave you humbled of her presence.

Over the years, our angling and handling methods have evolved and curved progress in the best interest of the resource. User and fish friendly equipment are standard on every trip. As the equipment evolves, so will I to ensure that what we experience today may be continued for years to come. The need for conservation and preservation has led to my involvement in local and national conservation organizations. Being part of the solution is better than being part of the problem. Education is key, and will generate a better understanding of best angling intentions.

Angling presentations are diverse. From plucking fish out of pockets, to top watering a weed line, to swinging baits through the jungle, what is offered is a truly unpredictable experience. Trolling may seem nice but it may become your biggest vice. From short yanks to big rippers, to floating in the column or sucking the bottom, we will hunt her down and wipe your frown.

Environmental changes is something of value which leads to understanding potential predictable activities. From minors to majors to daily peaks, natures common occurrences lead to repeatability. Observations of nature’s subtle secrets and secret breezes can turn a tranquil moment into winds of rage, but not without a blow from the east, in which will rise the beast.

What we seek is to provide the experience of a life time within the excitement of the moment.

Mother Nature has her menace but as she shines you bow in shrine.
